NAPCE

The National Association for Pastoral Care in Education NAPCE provides support, specialist information and expertise by producing discussion documents and position statements and submitting evidence to DFEE and other relevant bodies and organising training events nationally, regionally and locally. Information is also given through its quarterly journal Pastoral Care in Education and advice can be obtained from elected Executive Officers at NAPCE.

The Association is a registered charity with a National Executive Committee and 13 regional associations in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

UK Youth

YouthOrg UK is a UK Youth Project (Registered Charity). Its aims are to support youth by:

  • Developing a virtual community to link and empower young people using the Internet for learning
  • Providing resources, information and advice for young people using the Internet
  • Supporting educators working with young people on the Internet

Schoolzone was set up by a group of enthusiastic teachers and parents in Oxford. We could see the need for safe, differentiated Internet material which teachers, students and parents can access easily, without anyone trying to sell them anything or exploit anyone in any way. So we found all the potentially useful sites we could over a two year period and sorted them into subject groupings.
